You know <a title=\"Abybatou\" href=\"https:\/\/www.sadunya.org\/?page_id=174&amp;lang=en\">I&#8217;ve been dreeeeeaming to go to the States<\/a> since, like, forever? Well, guess what!&nbsp; I made my first trip to Obama&#8217;s country, to visit some of my sister&#8217;s friends who live in the little town of Indiana, in Pennsylvania. I just couldn&#8217;t wait!! Because I was, like, finally going to get to see America! It was waaaaaaay cool!! Well, okay, it still wasn&#8217;t New York, but I&#8217;m going to get there, too\u2026<\/p>\n<p>In any case, our host family was super nice and took us around to see the area. There are loads of interesting things I&#8217;ve gotta tell you about\u2026<\/p>\n<p><!--more-->But, first of all, I&#8217;ve gotta tell you that Indiana isn&#8217;t just any old town: It&#8217;s the town where <a title=\"James Stewart - wikipedia\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/James_Stewart\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">James Stewart<\/a>, one of Mom&#8217;s favorite actors, was born (well, he was, like, born in 1908, so he&#8217;s not really my generation!). Have you heard of him? I found out about him while I was there and, he was just tooooooooo good looking when he was young! Besides, he played in some super famous movies, like <a title=\"It's a Wonderful Life - wikipedia\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/It%27s_a_Wonderful_Life\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">It&#8217;s a Wonderful Life<\/span><\/em><\/a>, (which Frank Capra created after visiting Indiana with Jimmy!!!) <em>Rear Window<\/em> and <em>How the West Was Won<\/em>. Ok, so they weren&#8217;t <a title=\"Twilight - wikipedia\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/The_Twilight_Saga_%28film_series%29\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Twilight<\/span><\/em><\/a>, but they&#8217;re still kinda cool movies, honest!<\/p>\n<p>The town of Indiana even has a museum about its Jimmy, and the local airport is named after him.<\/p>\n<p>Anyhow, this trip was, like, way cool! Oh, and because it was December, Mamie even learned <a title=\"Christmas in Indiana, PA\" href=\"https:\/\/www.sadunya.org\/?p=2994&amp;lang=en\">how to make Christmas cookies<\/a> (real American cookies, yummmmm)\u2026<\/p>\n<p><a title=\"Abybatou\" href=\"https:\/\/www.sadunya.org\/?page_id=174&amp;lang=en\"><em>Aby Ndiaye<\/em><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Hello, world!
